For someone stepping up from an entry level Rega or VPI for example, I think you’d be hard-pressed to match the quality and performance of the Kubrick DCX for under $10,000.
Wyndham Audio have taken it a step further by substituting the Jelco SA-750 9" tonearm for a 10.5" version from the highly regarded Brinkmann stable.

The Brinkmann EMT ti phono cartridge performed well mounted in the Jelco arm [see photo above] and as good as the Jelco arm is, we thought we weren't really getting the best from both the Kubrick turntable and Brinkmann EMT cartridge.
Over the years we've been fortunate enough to listen on a regular basis to the outstanding Brinkmann 10.5 tonearm and for us, the Brinkmann was an easy choice for a tonearm upgrade.
We have been enjoying this sensational combination now for the last couple of weeks. I have to tell you, this is a major step up from the Jelco tonearm. The combination of the Kubrick, Brinkmann 10.5 and Brinkmann EMT ti delivers simply stunning performance, that really needs to be heard over a thorough listening session, to fully appreciate the resolution, clarity and dynamics we are now experiencing from this vinyl rig.
The Soulines Kubrick DCX with the Brinkmann 10.5 tonearm and Brinkmann EMT ti cartridge will be one of two turntables that Wyndham Audio will be exhibiting at the 2016 Melbourne International HiFi Show. Visit them in Room 1203 to hear it for yourself.
